Kalesar forest under miners' attack :
The Kalaser National forest, spread across 11,000 acres near Yamuna Nagar in Haryana, is home to a variety of plants and animals, including leopards and panthers. Situated on the foothills of the Dauladar range, the forest including the Yamuna river which passes through it were designated as part of a national park in December 2003.

Birds of Kalesar Wildlife Sanctuary, Haryana, India :
Kalesar Wildlife Sanctuary (30024'N 770 32'E) lies in the northern Shivalik tract, to the west of Yamuna River . A birdlist of 161 species, compiled from records gathered from 1993 to 1995 is presented along with information on status, season and habitat.
